7 January 2025:
TROG Cancer Research is advancing vital cancer research, with the support of a generous $300,000 donation from the GenesisCare Foundation.
The donation will support TROG’s work to promote the prevention and control of cancer through cancer research, in line with our objectives, mission and strategic goals detailed in the Strategic Plan 2024-26 released last year.
The GenesisCareFoundation, a charitable organisation established by private cancer care provider GenesisCare, has been dedicated to supporting cancer patients by helping them to live better for longer.
TROG Cancer Research CEO Susan Goode expressed gratitude for the significant donation, noting that it would go a long way towards supporting TROG’s mission to revolutionise cancer care through impactful radiation medicine research to cure cancer and improve quality of life.
“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the GenesisCare Foundation for this incredibly generous donation,” she said.
“This contribution will help drive forward our strategic initiatives, which include diversifying our research, strengthening collaborative networks, fostering member engagement and enhancing our sustainability.”
“Ultimately, this donation will translate into valuable radiation therapy research and evidence, and better experiences and outcomes for people affected by various types of cancer.”
