The NewyWay Coffee Collaboration

Newcastle marketing agency, The Marketing GP worked with our team last year to create the gift that kept on giving in collaboration with Peaberrys Coffee Roasters.

We celebrated an incredible milestone in 2022, reaching 15,000 trial patient recruitments, and just like The Marketing GP (who celebrated their tenth anniversary), we were honoured to be able to do that collaboratively.

The NewyWay, was created to help us further source and facilitate cancer trials around the globe. A percentage of sales from each bag sold was raised towards TROG Cancer Research to help us in our important mission to outsmart cancer.

A collaboration like no other

When our CEO, Susan Goode was approached to be a charity partner, she was blown away by the generosity.

“We’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with The Marketing GP professionally for a few years now, and it’s wonderful to collaborate for a greater cause and celebrate our big wins together,” Susan said.

“The opportunity presented by The Marketing GP allowed us to share our message and continue conducting life-changing research and trials around the world from our headquarters right here in Newcastle.”

Managing Director of The Marketing GP, Holly Martin said that although the coffee blend was designed around a celebration of their tenth anniversary, it had a greater cause.

“The Newy Way gave people the chance to do something good as their first act of the day through the simple form of drinking a cup of coffee. Being able to contribute to the important work that TROG Cancer Research does to help people today and future generations through cancer research is the primary reason for the creation of the new coffee blend,” Holly said.

A cup for a cause

Our organisation is committed to finding better care and treatments for a wide range of cancer types.

Through radiation therapy research, we are working towards improving outcomes and quality of life for cancer patients locally, nationally and globally. Every donation made has helped us in this cause.

We understand that fighting cancer is a collaborative effort. The work we do is only possible thanks to our researchers, hospitals, cancer centres, central operations team and the supportive community we surround ourselves in.

Peaberry’s Coffee Roasters, located just a few kilometres from our HQ in Newcastle, was able to offer coffee lovers near and far a way to fill their cup for a cause.

The NewyWay funds raised will go towards vital cancer research that can save lives around the world.

Tea4TROG meets The NewyWay

Every year in Spring, we host our Tea4TROG event, which is an opportunity to connect with local businesses and community members over a high tea while also raising valuable funds for TROG Cancer Research.

This year we prepare for the return of our in-person event in 2023.

“We will be back in 2023 for a bigger and better fundraising event,” Susan said.

“So, for 2023 we will be putting out ‘save the dates’ early to ensure we get the best turn out!

“If your business would be interested in Tea4TROG sponsorships, we would love to hear from you.”

If you are planning your own Tea4TROG high-tea, we’d love to hear about it. And, don’t forget to tag us in your pictures using the hashtag #Tea4TROG2023

If you would like to support TROG Cancer Research continue their quest for better cancer outcomes, donate today.
