Our inaugural Km’s for Cancer Research challenge, held in October 2025, was a great success in spreading the word and supporting TROG’s work to improve cancer outcomes through vital research.

Almost 100 participants  \and nine teams took part in the event, which saw them get active in October. Particpants logged the kilometres they covered, whether that was by running, walking, cycling, swimming or training.

Together, the participants covered an incredible 6,761 km  – representing many of the 15,560 people with cancer who have participated in TROG’s world-class clinical trials focused on radiation therapy – a treatment that can help one in two people diagnosed with cancer.

We want to say a huge thank you to all the participants and supporters who made the event a great success, including TROG Members, Board members, staff, families and colleagues, as well as many  community members who got active to support TROG.

The challenge raised almost $10,000 for TROG’s work, which will make a real difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.
