TROG Ambassador Program is an initiative aimed at engaging passionate individuals to champion our mission of improving treatment and outcomes for those affected by cancer. Though this program, we are inviting people from diverse backgrounds to join us as volunteers in raising awareness, inspiring action, and fostering community support for our groundbreaking cancer clinical trials and research.

What is the TROG Ambassador Program?

The TROG Ambassador Program is designed to bring together survivors, advocates, healthcare professionals, researchers, media personalities, and community leaders who share a common goal: to make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer.  

As an Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Promote the importance of clinical trials in advancing cancer care.
  • Share your personal story or experiences with cancer therapies to inspire and connect with others.
  • Support fundraising initiatives and campaigns for life-saving research.
  • Advocate for TROG’s work within your networks and communities.

What does a TROG Ambassador do?

  • Represent TROG Cancer Research at events, conferences, and community engagements, as your time permits.
  • Advocate for the transformative power of clinical trials in revolutionising cancer care.
  • Share TROG’s mission and research initiatives through social media, public speaking, and personal/professional networks.
  • Support fundraising activities for critical research.
  • Participate in TROG campaigns and awareness drives.
  • Collaborate with TROG’s network to amplify our mission and vision.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking individuals with the following qualities, who are looking to take on a voluntary role:

  • Have a personal or professional connection to cancer research, treatment, or advocacy.
  • Are passionate about making a tangible impact on cancer care and patient outcomes.
  • Possess strong communication skills and can inspire diverse audiences.
  • Believe in the power of collective action and community engagement to drive change.
  • Can dedicate time and resources to actively champion TROG’s mission.
  • We recognise and respect the fact that all our Ambassadors will have competing demands on their time, and we will endeavour to share the load to ensure no-one is overburdened.

Who is eligible to become a TROG Ambassador?

  • Cancer survivors and carers, advocates, healthcare professionals, researchers, media personalities, athletes, or community leaders.

  • Willingness to participate in TROG events and campaigns (virtual or in-person) as time permits.

  • Individuals who are committed to advancing cancer research or supporting cancer-related initiatives.

  • Alignment with TROG’s core values and mission.

Applicant selection process

Applications will be reviewed by the TROG Executive team based on alignment with our mission and the potential to make a meaningful impact. All applicants will be contacted in due course regarding the outcome of their application.

Closing date

Closing date for initial applications: Wednesday 30 April 2025. Applications outside of the application deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
