AGITG 26th Annual Scientific Meeting, 2024

Dates: 18 November - 21 November 2024
Location: Brisbane, Convention and Exhibition Centre and online The AGITG Annual Scientific Meeting serves not only as a forum for the presentation of state-of-the art overviews on the pathobiological and clinical aspects of GI cancer, but also affords the opportunity to the Australasian scientific community to explore future directions for research and collaboration. The meeting provides GI cancer researchers and specialists with the opportunity to present their research and discuss the current challenges and recent innovations in a multidisciplinary setting.

Nominations are now open for the TROG Cancer Research Excellence Awards. For 2024 there is a standard nomination form for all awards. Award categories include: Lifetime Member, Outstanding Contribution, Trial Excellence, Emerging Clinical Researcher and Peer Recognition.  The nomination form contains details on the nomination process including the award category eligibility and criteria. Award recipients will be announced at the TROG 2024 ASM Gala Dinner on the evening of Thursday 14th March 2024.

Applications for the 2024 awards close at 5pm Monday 5th March 2024.

TROG Cancer Research Event

Trek4TROG Kosi Challenge

Dates: 1 December to 3 December 2023 Location: Ski Rider Hotel in Wilsons Valley.
Trek4TROG was a memorable and exhillerating experience for everyone involved and well exceeded its fundraising target, collecting a mammoth $30,000 in funds for our vital cancer research.
The journey to the summit of Mount Kosciusko is 22km and took 7 hours to complete, as trekkers experienced a variety of weather elements on the way!

We thank all of the participants in 2023 and look forward to our next big TREK, in the Blue Mountains in October 2024. Stand bye for more information as it comes to hand!

35th Annual Scientific Meeting, 2023

Dates: 19 June to 22 June 2023
Location: Hilton, Adelaide
The TROG Cancer Research ASM was a great success in 2023, with over 75 thought-provoking speakers and panelists who spoke to the future of radiation medicine and cancer treatments on a global scale.

2023 Concept Development Workshop (CDW)

Date: 31 May 2023
Attendees: Faculty, mentors and TROG staff.

The CDW was designed to encourage and support TROG’s early to mid-career clinical cancer researchers to bring new ideas for clinical research projects/concepts to TROG Cancer Research and to have these ideas workshopped in a multidisciplinary and collaborative manner.
We invited all early to mid-career TROG members to submit their research idea for consideration.

34th Annual Scientific Meeting, 2022

Dates: 30 June to 3 July 2022
Location: RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast, Queensland.
Theme: Emerging & Evolving

The 2022 ASM hosted several internationally and nationally recognised keynote speakers and TROG Cancer Research scientists and clinicians.
Over 270 delegates participated in the ASM, including leading Australian and New Zealand Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Interventional Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and Clinical Trials Specialists.
