TROG Cancer Research Concept Development Workshop

We are hosting a virtual, one-day Concept Development Workshop (CDW) on 2 December 2025. 

TROG Cancer Research is committed to conducting world-class research in radiation therapy, with a mission to improve outcomes and quality of life for people affected by cancer. We believe our members are the driving force behind innovative and impactful clinical trials.

Our 2025 Concept Development Workshop, open to TROG members (full and affiliate), is designed to help transform your trial ideas into a fully developed research concept.

The Workshop theme is: Designing Accessible Trials.

 All TROG members are invited to submit trial ideas that:

• Can be implemented in regional/rural centres
• Include regional and rural recruitment
• Suit low-volume centres
• Use decentralised trial designs (e.g., Tele-Trials)
• Employ pragmatic or registry-based designs
• Focus on cancers with high burden in rural/regional populations (e.g., lung, head and neck, colorectal, skin, breast, prostate)
• Use simplified treatment regimens suitable for delivery with limited specialist resources (e.g., fewer visits, hypofractionation).

Whether your idea is just forming, or nearly ready for protocol development, this workshop offers a collaborative space to refine it. Outcomes could include a pilot study, trial protocol, or even a funding application.
